Nothando Langelihle Setoboli – founder

African Fashion Designer Nothando Langelihle Setoboli was born 18 March 1984 and raised in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Nothando is the founding and creative director of House of Zakar which is a fashion design and clothing manufacturing company.

Nothando has always been a lover of art and drawing since a very young age. She found an outlet for her creativity and passion of the arts in Fashion designing after completing high school. She entered several national competitions and exhibitions which she found fulfilling. Realising the benefits of education in the area, she pursued a professional qualification in Fashion Design at the Bulawayo Institute of Art and Design.

She gainfully attained hands on training and experience to becoming a seasoned Fashion designer whilst working for a clothing manufacturer called Cohcoh enterprises and later African threads which are companies that produce top of the range designs for the main retail clothing chains in the industry.

The main objective of House of Zakar is to fill the gap for exclusive, quality but affordable unique designer clothing for women in the professional sector, boss ladies making boss moves, just to describe the women we dress.

The name HoZ draws its meaning in the word Zakar which means to remember or to mark as first. We strive to be a first choice who produce clothing pieces that are unforgettable.  We do occasional offer complementary ranges in menswear, kidswear, accessories, handbags and footwear. House of Zakar is the home of unforgettable style proudly made in Africa.
HoZ as a part of giving back to our planet will be  carrying out crafting activities with fabric remnants to give them optimal use.
We are also striving to be a noteworthy employer of women in the surrounding communities, empowering them with sewing skills and industry training so that they can supplement income for their families.
